Sony is announcing availability of its revamped VAIO F Series and VAIO S Series, equipping the systems with second-generation Intel processors, high resolution displays, and an array of premium features like standard Blu-ray drives.The multimedia focused VAIO F Series has already taken its place at the top of the Sony laptop food chain, but the new models boast several entertainment features, like Dolby Home Theater with S-Force Front Surround 3D technology and Blu-ray optical drives. Thanks to a 16.4-inch widescreen with 1,920-by-1,080 resolution, you can enjoy video in full 1080p high definition. Sony also includes its Media Gallery software to help you organize and enjoy your content.
Beyond pure entertainment, the VAIO F Series packs serious computing power thanks to quad-core Intel Core i7 processors. Gaming and graphics-intensive programs get a boost from Nvidia GeForce graphics processors, with both the GT 540M and GT 520M available. Other high-performance components include hard drives with up to 750GB storage capacity, and speedy USB 3.0 ports for lightning fast data transfer and power for peripheral devices. A backlit keyboard lets you use the VAIO F Series with ease, even in low-light situations, and an HD Webcam lets you Skype and video chat with crystal clear image quality.
