Veteran Apple Hacker Discovers App Store Bug



PCMag.Com - Apple is known for having perhaps the most stringent approval process for apps entering its App Store. Besides pulling out tasteless apps, Apple meticulously pores over app source code to make sure when you download, say, Angry Birds for iOS, you’re not also downloading some sort of malicious feature that compromises everything stored in your iDevice.

Despite these processes, it appears that veteran Apple hacker Charlie Miller has discovered a bug that lets apps run malicious code that wasn’t approved by Apple.         More
