E3 2014: Every Video Game Release Date Announcement

Here's a full list of every release date announced so far at this year's E3 for Xbox One, PS4, Wii U, Xbox 360, PS3, PC, and 3DS.

GameSpot -

E3 is a popular place to announce new games, but it's perhaps an even more popular venue for announcing release dates. And in that regard this year's show has not disappointed so far--whether it's the beta for Destiny or PlayStation Now, The Last of Us Remastered, Halo: The Master Chief Collection, or any number of other games, there's a good chance that, if it's a game coming out this year, we now know its release date.

What follows below is a complete look at the release dates (and frustratingly vague release windows) announced at E3 so far. We'll be updating this list throughout the week, so even if you don't see what you're looking for, check back and you may just find what you're looking for.

Dell's Alienware 14 - PC gaming in a semiportable package

CNET Editors' Rating

4.0StarsExcellent

The good: Dell's new Alienware 14 offers great performance, competitive prices, and quirky features such as a backlit touch pad.
The bad: The new design still feels dated, and it's as thick as a few slim laptops stacked together. The fan is insanely loud.

The bottom line: Dell has revamped its gaming line, including the new Alienware 14. The design changes don't go nearly far enough, but no complaints about the performance.

CNET - Sony bulked up its Vaio lineup with two new entries today: one a large table-top product and the other a convertible device that can toggle between a tablet and a laptop.

The hybrid is the Vaio Duo 11, which has a keyboard, but can slide between a laptop design and a tablet-like slate.

The second is the Vaio Tap 20, a 20-inch table-top PC that can be used by individuals or as a multimedia center for groups.

The devices run Microsoft's Windows 8 operating system, as CNET had earlier reported.

How Apple–and Steve Jobs–Reshaped the PC

PCMag.Com - Steve Jobs may be leaving his position as CEO of the most valuable tech company in the world, but he’s also leaving a legacy that changed the shape of technology – literally. Under Jobs, Apple has introduced, and in some cases removed, both functional features and beautifying design elements, and the company has done so just ahead of the tech industry on the whole. The designs have become iconic, the changes have sparked design trends in and out of the computer industry, and the technology you use every day has benefitted from it.

From the computer on your desk to the phone in your pocket, Apple has tweaked, polished, and perfected everything from case design to user interfaces. They’ve added new features, like the super-fast Thunderbolt interface, but removed others, like the optical drive. Even internally, dealing with the nitty-gritty of hard drives and storage, the team from Cupertino has pared down and prettied up every facet of the personal computer.

It’s not much of a stretch to say that without Apple’s influence, the tech world would look very, very different. Jobs may have been at the helm for many of these decisions, but a captain needs a good crew, and the good ship Apple has had some talented people all along the way. Well the refreshing designs and forward thinking technology continue after Jobs’ departure? For the short term, definitely. In the long term, however, only time will tell.

Check out our slideshow to see some of the big changes that came out of Apple’s tiny details.
